The Ørsted Church is at the centre of the historical perspective. It contains remarkable murals dating from around 1300. The church was probably built in the middle of the 12th century.

Beside the medieval, iron-clad oak door of Ørsted Church stands a picture and runestone bearing the inscription “Eskil i Gård skar Samson. Han dræbte dyret”. The church also has an organ built by Marcussen & Søn in 2008. The door, stone inscription and organ each provide a different point of focus within the church building.

A memorial stone to the poet Christian Richardt also stands in the car park at Ørsted Church. Richardt was pastor at Ørsted Church from 1876 to 1886.
