Vang: Hotels and accommodations

Vang is a former fishing village on the northwest coast of Bornholm, 7 km north of Hasle and 9 km south of Allinge. The village stretches along a steep coastal slope and has a harbour, a beach, a small protected watermill, and views of the sunset. The watermill is one of the area's notable cultural heritage features.

Coast and harbour

Vang Harbour consists of three basins. The two southernmost basins accommodate visiting yachts. Access is restricted in westerly winds of more than 10 m/s.

History and cultural heritage

Vang's documented history dates back to 1570. Evidence of settlement dates back to the Iron Age and the Viking Age. For more than a century, granite quarrying shaped the village; local stone was used in Copenhagen City Hall and Christiansborg Palace.
