In October 2023, the Vig Bio cultural centre celebrated 100 years of cinema operations in Vig. At the same time, Vig Bio has developed into a cultural centre that offers far more than film experiences alone. At the cultural centre in Vig, cinema tradition meets new forms of events.

Since 2024, Vig Bio has offered 16 free live-streamed scientific lectures every year in cooperation with Aarhus University.

The Vig Festival began in 1996. In connection with its 30th anniversary, the Vig Festival Museum was created to preserve the festival's history, memories and community. Five films were produced for the museum, preserving stories from the history of the Vig Festival. The museum thus combines festival history with film documentation.

Every year in July, the Vig Festival offers four family-friendly festival days. The festival takes place in July as a recurring event in Vig's annual calendar. Vig Tuske- & Kræmmermarked has existed for more than 25 years and offers a market experience where visitors haggle over prices. In this way, Vig offers both an annual festival and a long-established market format as different ways of experiencing community events.

Natural History and Active Days

The Aurochs Monument marks the site where a farmer discovered a large aurochs skeleton in 1904. The aurochs commemorated at the Aurochs Monument lived in Denmark more than 10,000 years ago. The great distance in time clearly highlights the connection to natural history.

For active days, Vig Cykler offers a small selection of women's, men's and children's bicycles. The bicycles are rented for day trips, weekends and several holiday days in Odsherred, subject to availability. The time span ranges from a day trip or a weekend to several holiday days.
