The water at Strandholm bathing spot is very shallow. Several hundred metres from the shore, it is no deeper than 1 metre. The bathing area at Strandholm is approximately 70 metres wide. During the summer months, there was a large bathing pier at Strandholm. The earliest recording of a Daubenton's bat in Leestrup Strand during the 2022–2024 survey took place 95 minutes after sunset. The route to Strandholm leads from Route 209 (Præstøvej/Strandvejen), at the turn-off near Strandhuse/Leestrup Strand, via Strandholm road. The beach is approximately 300 m from the main road.
