Leszczyn is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Kołobrzeg County and the Gmina of Rymań. The village is located on Polish national road No. 6. The wider regional area around Leszczyn features both historic sites and named landscape destinations.

History

Leszczyn is recorded in 1269 as Lestzin and in 1310 as Lestin. The settlement was founded under German law as part of the colonisation led by the bishops of Kamień. Historic remains in Leszczyn include the former Trunick knights' castle, which was associated with the Manteuffel family, as well as the remains of a fortified manor house on a hill surrounded by a moat.
