During the bathing season, the beach has lifeguarded sections as well as food and drink stalls, changing rooms and toilets. Water, the harbour and active days
Dźwirzyno’s harbour was once a fishing harbour and is now used for both fishing and tourism. It is suitable for coastal sailing, fishing trips and boat excursions at sea on small boats. Lake Resko Przymorskie adds water sports to these maritime activities: the lake is suitable for activities such as windsurfing and kitesurfing.
The coastal landscape can also be explored on foot along routes of varying lengths. Grzybowo and Dźwirzyno have three Nordic walking trails of varying difficulty. They run along the beaches and through the coastal forest. If you would like to include a longer route in your plans, consider the 55 km Wokół Jeziora Resko route. It runs mostly through the Gmina Kołobrzeg and also enters the neighbouring Gmina Trzebiatów.
For exploring the Gmina Kołobrzeg, the Gminne Centrum Sportu i Rekreacji in Dźwirzyno offers bicycle rentals. Another prominent landmark is the modern bridge across the canal between Lake Resko Przymorskie and the sea, which is considered a symbol of Dźwirzyno.
Discover local places and buildings
Among the buildings with a history of their own is the hunting palace in Budzistowo. It was built in the eclectic style around the turn of the 20th century. Korzystno has a neo-Gothic church dating from 1866. It has a former churchyard cemetery, also established in 1866 and enclosed by a distinctive brick wall. Another neo-Gothic church is the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Karcino, dating from 1869.
In Grzybowo, the spatial inscription “GRZYBOWO” stands beside a fountain on the main road. It makes a convenient short stop during a walk or bike ride. Details like these complement the nature and water themes with small destinations along the way.
