Discover Widuchowa from two perspectives: the view across the Lower Oder Valley and a cycling route that runs through the town. On Słowiańska Góra, also known as Wendyjska Góra, there is a 72.6 m-high hill in the Sarbskie Górki range. From its viewpoint, you can see where the West Oder and Regalica meet, as well as the surroundings of Widuchowa. The viewing terrace offers a sweeping panorama of the Lower Oder Valley and is considered one of West Pomerania’s greatest tourist attractions.

Panoramas and Cycling
The green Nadodrzański “Łabędzi” cycling route runs through Widuchowa and is 11.02 km long. Its surface alternates between asphalt, paving stones and unpaved paths. Those interested in cycling will find a clearly marked route that passes through the town.
The viewpoint and the cycling route offer different ways to experience Widuchowa: one from the perspective of the panorama, the other along a designated route. The hill is precisely identified as being 72.6 m high; at the same time, the terrace opens up a view of the river confluence and the Lower Oder Valley. When planning your trip, the key factor may therefore be whether the landscape views or the cycling route are the stronger draw for you.
Historic Townscape and Buildings
The town’s layout is also part of Widuchowa’s character. A clearly recognizable historic street and market square layout helps visitors find their way around. The Stodolna quarter is one of the distinctive features of the cultural landscape. There is also a group of five two-storey half-timbered houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The houses combine a clearly defined architectural style with a period spanning two centuries, offering a different historical point of reference from the medieval buildings.
The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was built in the 13th century from regularly laid granite blocks. Its half-timbered tower is topped by an 18th-century Baroque spire. The building therefore displays two distinct architectural features: granite masonry and the tower’s half-timbered structure with its Baroque crown. Surviving fragments of castle walls also date from the 13th century and add to the historic landmarks in the town.
Numerous surviving barns are also part of the historic townscape. They were once used to store grain. Together with the Stodolna quarter, the half-timbered houses and the older wall remains, they offer different points of interest for a visit focused on architectural styles and local history.
Another historical connection
The railway is also part of Widuchowa’s history: in 1873, a line connecting Stettin and Küstrin opened here. The Jarmark Widuchowski is a traditional event in Widuchowa.
