Gryfice: Hotels and accommodations

Gryfice lies on the Rega River on the Szczecin Coast, about 22 km from the Baltic Sea. The town is located on the Gryfice Plain, a mesoregion of the Szczecin Coast.

History and townscape

The historic center of Gryfice has a spindle-shaped town layout with a rectangular market square and a regular street network. Its origins date back to the medieval founding of the town in 1262.

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Gryfice is a Gothic religious building consecrated in 1498.

A walk through the old town passes historic urban-planning features and may include remnants of former fortifications, including walls, gates, and the Powder Tower.

Lisia Góra is located in the vicinity of Gryfice. The wider regional area also includes Trzebiatow - Zespol palacowo-zamkowy z XVIII w., Plaża Niechorze, Plaża w Pogorzelicy, and Pobierowo Plaża.

A published 36 km mountain-bike route runs between Rewal, Gryfice, and Trzebiatów.
