BÃ¥stlund Krat is also within the main distribution area of the lichen finger coral lichen. The records from different periods also make clear that, alongside the visible tree cover, smaller and less conspicuous species are part of the character of the coppice.

Hills and Heath Plantation in the Surrounding Area

The hills of Rugbjerg and Simmelbjerg are located in the vicinity of BÃ¥stlund. BÃ¥stlund Hedeplantage adds another landscape feature: it covers 55 ha, of which 40 ha are planted. Planned Motorway and Bankeshøje

The planned motorway between Billund and Give is intended to run through Båstlund Krat north of Billund. At Bankeshøje #1 in Båstlund, there is a hill with a height of 2 m and a diameter of 16 m. At Bankeshøje #2 in Båstlund, there is also a hill with a diameter of 16 m; its height is 1.75 m. The two hills therefore have the same diameter but different heights. Together with the coppice and the heath plantation, these landscape features broaden the view of Båstlund with clearly distinguishable natural and historical points of interest.
