Dahme’s 1.5 km-long beach promenade runs along low dunes, remains open towards the beach, and offers uninterrupted views of the water.

The promenade is bordered by family leisure facilities: two playgrounds, a trampoline and a mini-golf area, a tennis court, an inline skating track, and courts for beach volleyball, football, and basketball. Its surface is suitable for strollers, wheelchairs, scooters, and inline skates.

There are fish stands selling fresh fish as well as cafés and restaurants along the promenade. On World Fish Bun Day, the stands may also offer creations featuring soused herring and eel.

Activities

Dahme offers cycling along the coast, including tours towards Dahmeshöved Lighthouse and on sections of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route. The coastal landscapes are suitable for walks and Nordic walking; inline skating is possible on the dyke maintenance road to Rosenfelde.

A local surf school complements the water sports options; it describes activities for both beginners and experienced participants.
