Przezmark is located on Lake Motława Wielka, a band-shaped flow-through lake in the Iława Lakeland. The lake covers approximately 45 hectares and reaches a maximum depth of 7.5 metres.

History and Culture

The castle ruins are located on a peninsula on the northern shore of Lake Motława Wielka; the site is considered notable for its landscape. Przezmark preserves the remains of a medieval Teutonic Order castle, including a corner tower, sections of the ring walls, and the cellars of the main castle.

The history of Przezmark has its roots in an early medieval Prussian fortified settlement. A historic market settlement is recorded in documents from 1305 and 1306.
