Karwieńskie Błoto is the name used for two villages: Karwieńskie Błoto Pierwsze is the older settlement, located farther from the Baltic coast, while Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie is closer to the sea.

Location

Karwieńskie Błoto Pierwsze is described as a settlement on a main traffic route before Karwia and more than 2 km from the beach. A shorter route to the beach leads through Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie.

Nearby is Krokowo - Zamek. The surrounding area includes Plaża Dębki, Plaża Białogóra, Władysławowo plaża, as well as the attraction “Mechowo k/Pucka. Groty Mechowskie”. In the wider regional area lies Rzucewo - Pałac Neogotycki 1840-1845.

Coastal Area

The beach at Karwieńskie Błota is located near Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie and is approximately 800–1000 m away. It is considered supervised and equipped with facilities for wheelchair users.

Culture and History

According to the traditional local history, Karwieńskie Błoto was founded by settlers from Friesland on wetlands that had previously been considered unsuitable for settlement. The village was laid out according to Dutch designs: the buildings stood in two rows, and some were traditionally constructed using half-timbering.

The historic settlement landscape also includes the remains of a cemetery associated with the former Frisian settlers.
