Nature at Lake Łebsko

At the western edge of Żarnowska there is a meadow next to the boundary of Słowiński National Park, associated with the annual deer rut. The shore of Lake Łebsko is associated with windsurfing and kitesurfing; part of the shore is designated as a bathing area with a viewing terrace.

The EuroVelo 10/13 cycling route runs through Żarnowska along Lęborska Street toward Voivodeship Road 214 and Łeba. A longer regional trail route runs between Gać and Łeba via Żarnowska.

Culture and history

Żarnowska has a filial church dedicated to Saint Brother Albert. It contains relics of this Polish religious figure.

Żarnowska is considered an old fishing settlement historically associated with the Słowińcy. A 13.5-meter-long Slavic boat discovered there in 1898 is kept in a museum in Szczecin.
