Culture

The tourist attractions of the Gmina Nowa Karczma include the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Lubań. The filial Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul was built in the late 1980s and bears the name “St. John Paul II”.

Events

The Pomorskie Agro Targi in Lubań are held regularly; in 2026, the 33rd edition took place. In 2025, they included educational areas for children and concerts. The Pomorska Wystawa Zwierząt Hodowlanych is a regular part of the Pomorskie Agro Targi. At the Pomorska Wystawa Zwierząt Hodowlanych, sheep, horses and beef cattle were exhibited in 2026; at the Pomorskie Agro Targi, a competition for young horse breeders was held for the first time in 2025.

Dzień Pola is held regularly on the grounds of the Pomorskiego Ośrodka Doradztwa Rolniczego in Lubań. At Dzień Pola in Lubań on 25 June 2026, varieties of cereals, potatoes and legumes were presented on more than 700 trial plots; mustard varieties and various mixtures of catch crops were also presented in 2026.

The 26th Kashubian Agricultural Autumn Event in Lubań included the culinary competition “Wypieki z warzyw” on 14 September 2024. The programme also included the horse-drawn carriage driving competition “im. Wojciecha Dąbrowskiego”, a demonstration of competitive wood cutting and chopping, and a harvest concert. The “Największa dynia” competition is planned for 19 and 20 September 2026 as part of the 28th Kashubian Agricultural Autumn Event in Lubań.

Food and Cuisine

At the Pomorska Wystawa Zwierząt Hodowlanych in Lubań in 2026, visitors were able to try beef dishes during culinary workshops.

The 16th Targi Ogrodniczo-Pszczelarskie in Lubań is a regularly held outdoor event for people interested in horticulture, beekeeping and nature. At the 15th Targi Ogrodniczo-Pszczelarskie in Lubań, visitors could buy local honey, preserves and handicrafts; there were also activities and creative workshops for children.

Landscape

Within the municipality of Nowa Karczma, a damaged section of Jezioro Lubańskie was renaturalised; as part of this work, a regulated shoreline was created.
