Liniewo is located in Poland’s Pomeranian Voivodeship and Kościerzyna County. In the wider surrounding region lies Wieżyca, at an elevation of 329 m above sea level, in an area known as “Kashubian Switzerland”.

Geographical location

The area surrounding Liniewo includes “kem Niedamowo” and Wlk. Klincz 178. Garczyn is located near Liniewo; it is a village in the municipality of Liniewo, described as being situated on Lake Duże at the eastern edge of the Kashubian Lake District. The Orle nature reserve is located west of Garczyn on Lake Duże.

Culture

The wider surrounding region of Liniewo includes Ratusz, Adam Mickiewicz, Kościół św. Mateusza and Kościół św. Katarzyny. In Garczyn, the former school building houses a local museum of memories containing objects and old photographs from Garczyn.

Activities

Garczyn has an African ostrich farm; a cycling route from a manor house in the Garczyn area leads to a lake approximately 2 km away and passes this farm. The area around the grounds of a holiday accommodation property in the Liniewo region offers opportunities for trekking and cycling; the surroundings are considered suitable for these activities.
