Zukowo combines monastery history with trails through the town and its immediate surroundings. The Muzeum Norbertanek Żukowskich has been operating since 1991 next to the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The blue Kartuski Trail also runs through Zukowo, passing the former monastery church and continuing to the mill on the Radunia. If you would like to include culture and outdoor activities in your trip, the town offers two distinct highlights. A guided tour must be arranged to visit the church; you can reach the trailhead by bus from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Kartuzy and Kościerzyna.

Monastery History, Museum and Church
The museum presents the town’s history in interactive, modern exhibitions. One exhibition is devoted to monastic embroidery. A visit to the museum therefore focuses both on local history and on a specific craft. The history of the monastery associated with the museum dates back to the early 13th century. This historical context gives the exhibitions a clear connection to Zukowo’s monastic tradition.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary has a Baroque interior. If you are particularly interested in church interiors and their furnishings, you can take this into account when planning your trip alongside a museum visit. A visit to the church must be arranged with a guide and takes place outside of services. Tours are available in Polish and English. A visit is therefore not simply a stop you can plan freely: arranging it in advance and choosing the right tour language are both part of the preparation.
Trails Through Zukowo and the Surrounding Area
The blue Kartuski Trail runs through Zukowo, passing the former monastery church and continuing to the mill on the Radunia. Its route links a section through the town with another destination by the river. If you are interested in this trail, you can make it a separate focus alongside the cultural attractions. The trailhead in Zukowo can be reached by bus from Gdańsk, Gdynia, Kartuzy and Kościerzyna.
Another option in the immediate surroundings is Nordic Walking Route 2. It passes a waterfall, a footbridge and the shore of Lake Techlinka. These features give the route a different character from the Kartuski Trail through Zukowo: this route highlights natural landmarks and the lakeshore, while the other passes the former monastery church and continues to the mill. If you are deciding whether to choose a Nordic walking route with these landscape features or the Kartuski Trail, you can base your choice on these different destinations along the way.
