History and Names
Egiertowo was formerly known as Egiertowa Huta. The name element “Huta” referred to the production of charcoal, wood ash and tar. Egiertowo is also associated with the historic Kashubian name Egertowò and the German name Eggertshütte.

The centre of Egiertowo is located directly on National Road 20. This provides a road connection to the larger settlements in the region.
