Alt Tellin: Hotels and Accommodations

Alt Tellin lies 12 kilometers southwest of Jarmen and 16 kilometers southeast of Demmin; the Tollense flows through the municipality. The Tollense glacial valley lies almost at sea level, while the Buchholz Heights reach 82.3 meters above sea level.

Landscape

In the vicinity of Alt Tellin, Fuchsberg, Galgenberg, Ziegenberg, and Danzelberg are each recorded as hills. In the Buchholz area, the steep slopes contain numerous erosion gullies; former hollow ways and avenues have developed into wooded ravines.

Culture and History

Broock Estate in Alt Tellin is a manor complex built nearly 250 years ago and is considered the last surviving manor house designed by the Prussian architect Friedrich August Stüler. The ensemble includes large buildings, an extensive courtyard, and a park that merges into the surrounding landscape. A planned cultural program includes festivals and conferences.

In the surrounding area of Alt Tellin, the Cunerow Ruin is recorded as a ruin. In the wider regional area, the Trabbi Barn is also recorded as a museum, Quilow Water Castle as a castle, and Schlossberg as a site dating from ancient times.
