Geographical Location

Stolpe an der Peene is located west of Anklam on the southern bank of the Peene and on Federal Highway 110. A seasonal passenger and bicycle ferry crosses the Peene to Stolpmühl and Quilow.

Waterways and Shipping

There is a landing stage for passenger boats on the Peene. A marina with boat rental facilities is also located nearby.

Culture and History

In the vicinity of Stolpe an der Peene are the Trabbi-Scheune, Quilow Water Castle, Quilow Village Church, and Fuchsberg. The surrounding area is home to the Maria Magdalena Church in Schlatkow, the Schlatkow orchard meadow, and Anklam City Park.

The Wartislaw Stone is located in Grüttower Grund, a rare monument associated with early Pomeranian history and dating from around 1150.
