Ferdinandshof lies between the Ueckermünde Heath and the Friedland Great Meadow in an extensive lowland area. As a municipality, the town belongs to the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in eastern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Landscape

In the surroundings of Ferdinandshof are the Schwichtenberg Boulder Garden, the Ueckermünde Motocross Track, and the Römerberg. The wider regional area also includes Schlossberg, Bröllin Castle, Cöthen, and the Braune-Weiße Spring.

Townscape and Historical Development

The built-up area of Ferdinandshof was partly shaped by expansion during the Gründerzeit. This included the development of streets and houses. Another historical connection is the railway: in 1863, Ferdinandshof was connected to the railway network via the Angermünde–Stralsund branch line of the Berlin-Stettin Railway Company.
