Selpin: Hotels and Accommodation

Selpin is situated in gently undulating terrain southeast of the upper Recknitz. The Warbel, a small stream that flows eastwards to the Trebel, rises here.

Landscape and Location

Selpin is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is administered by the Tessin Municipal Association. The entire municipality lies within the Wesselstorf Landscape Conservation Area. Situated between the small towns of Tessin, Laage and Gnoien, Selpin is embedded in this regional landscape.

Culture and History

The Lieper Burg and Kucksdorfer Burg castles are located in the vicinity of Selpin. Dornbusch and the Thünen Museum are situated in the wider surrounding region. The Tessin main combat command post of the NVA was formerly located near Drüsewitz; in Wilhelmshof, a few remaining sections of wall mark the site of a former settlement of the same name.
