Bernitt: Hotels and Accommodation
Bernitt is a large municipality in terms of area in the western part of the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, located around ten kilometres northeast of Bützow.
Landscape
Large parts of the Rugberge belong to the municipality. They form the southern part of a glacial moraine ridge that extends towards the Kühlung near the Baltic Sea coast.
The Hohe Burg and Schwarzer See nature reserve lies in the wooded Rugberge area. Langen Berg and Hohe Burg are part of the Rugberge and are considered the highest elevations in northern Mecklenburg. Schwarzer See is considered Mecklenburg's highest-altitude moor lake.
Culture and History
Bützow Castle is located in the area surrounding Bernitt. Further afield in the region are the Groß Raden open-air museum, Güstrow Castle and Doberan Abbey.

Wintersberg is located in the vicinity of Bernitt. Hohes Rad and the miniature town are situated in the surrounding area. The Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Wildlife Park is located further afield in the region.
