Katzow is located between Greifswald and Wolgast, north of the B 109 federal road. Wolgast lies approximately six kilometres east of Katzow, while Lubmin is approximately nine kilometres to the north. The municipality is served by state and district roads; the nearest interchange with the A 20 motorway is near Gützkow.
