Landscape

The Lenné Park was designed by Peter Joseph Lenné as an English landscape park. The Rose Pond has a small island. At the Wind Harp Pond, a peninsula creates picturesque views. The Lenné Park can be visited as part of guided tours or events. Under Section 2 of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Monument Protection Act, it is protected as a garden monument; initial restoration measures began in 2021.

Culture

Gültz Village Church has a fieldstone choir dating from the 13th century. Its pulpit from the 17th century features reliefs of the Evangelists. The church also houses an organ built in 1880 by Barnim Grüneberg in Stettin. The cemetery surrounding the village church contains an extensive family burial site of the Maltzahn family.

History

Gültz Castle offers guided day tours to castles and manor houses between the Tollense Valley and the Baltic Sea. The castle was built between 1868 and 1872 according to plans by Georg Daniel for Helmuth Freiherr von Maltzahn. The Mirror Hall can accommodate up to 120 guests. Gültz Castle regularly opens its doors for musical evenings.
