Wulkenzin is a municipality in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. To the southeast, the municipality borders Lake Tollensesee, specifically in an area associated with Neubrandenburg.

Nature

The municipality covers 21.59 square kilometres. Of this area, 1,968 hectares are vegetation areas and 22 hectares are bodies of water. Tannenberg is located in the surrounding area. Reiherberg, Butterberg and Charlottenberg are also located in the surrounding area.

History and Culture

Wulkenzin was first documented in 1346 and belonged to Mecklenburg-Schwerin until the early 20th century. Wildberg, St. Georg, Neubrandenburg and Kulturpark are located in the surrounding area. Cölpin, Dorfkirche is also located in the wider regional area.
