Sponholz: Hotels and Accommodation

The municipality of Sponholz is located just under ten kilometers east of Neubrandenburg. It includes the villages of Rühlow, Sponholz, and Warlin, as well as the settlements of Andreashof, Ausbau, Bahnhof Sponholz, Sponholzer Mühle, and Volkmannshof.
History and Architectural Heritage
Sponholz was first documented in 1496. The village church was severely affected during the Thirty Years' War. The manor house in Sponholz dates back to 1745.

The area surrounding Sponholz includes Cölpin with its village church, St. George's Church in Neubrandenburg, the Kulturpark, as well as Kanzleiberg, Hunnenberg, and Heidberg. Further afield in the region are Wildberg and the ruins of Blankenburg.
