Neverin is situated in the hilly, lake-rich glacial ground moraine landscape of Werder, approximately ten kilometres northeast of Neubrandenburg. Municipality and History

The municipal area comprises the localities of Neverin and Glocksin. Glocksin, one of these localities, was first mentioned in 1337. A church was built there in 1805; a railway station was established in Glocksin in 1884.
