Neverin: Haussee, Bürgerpark and Water Tower
Accommodation in Neverin
Neverin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania offers a Bürgerpark on Haussee, traces of older buildings and a local leisure centre for a short stay. If you are looking for a hotel or other accommodation, you can choose these destinations based on location and your interests. The town description does not indicate whether a specific room is available or how to get from every accommodation to the lake.
By the lake and in town
Bürgerpark extends around Haussee in the centre of town. It invites visitors to linger, walk, relax and play. A plaque by the old Rittereiche (Knight’s Oak) tells the story of the former motte-and-bailey castle; its former site is now called “Liebesinsel” (Love Island). The church and the granary are among the buildings that bear witness to Neverin’s historic architecture. The wider municipal area is characterised by Neveriner See and two lakes called Haussee. These are several bodies of water; accommodation in town is not automatically located beside every one of them.
Water tower and leisure centre
The estate owner Jasper von Behr-Negendank had the Neverin water tower built in 1919. Today, it is a protected industrial monument. During renovation, metal lattice staircases were installed, making it accessible for the first time. An information board explains its history. This does not mean that the tower is always open. KTO is a local leisure centre offering sports and recreational activities; it can be hired for events and seminars. A bicycle rest area with seating was set up by the sports ground and is also open to other visitors. Check current events and access to individual facilities in advance.
