Zapel: Hotels and accommodations

Zapel is located approximately three kilometers southeast of Crivitz and approximately 20 kilometers northwest of Parchim.

Landscape

In the southern part of the municipality, Zapel includes the Settiner Tannen forest, where the Gramnitzbach stream rises. The highest point in the municipality is 67.8 meters above sea level.

The hills Großer Lindenberg and Sötenbarg are located in the immediate vicinity of Zapel. The islands of Flakenwerder and Kaninchenwerder are also located in the surrounding area of Zapel.

Culture

In the wider regional surroundings of Zapel are Schwerin, the State Museum, the Groß Raden Open-Air Museum, and Schwerin Cathedral. Zapel is located on federal road 321. The Schwerin–Parchim railway line runs through the municipality; the nearest railway stations are in Crivitz and Ruthenbeck. The A14 motorway is approximately 14 kilometers away via the Schwerin-Ost interchange.
