From the terminal moraine ridge west of the Recknitz, Wardow stretches across the Recknitz lowlands into a gently hilly landscape. The Pludderbach and the Polchow drain this area; both are tributaries of the Recknitz. The elevations barely reach 50 meters above sea level. Wardow is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.

History and culture
Wardow has a landscaped park connected to Wardow Manor House and adjacent to early medieval ramparts. Wardow Manor House is a 19th-century Gothic Revival building that was used as a school until the 2000s and is being renovated.
Dornbusch, an early historic site, is located near Wardow. The Thünen Museum, a museum, is also located nearby.
