Cammin Village Church: Fieldstone, Altar, and Organ
Cammin Village Church is a rectangular fieldstone building with dressed corner blocks. Inside the church is a carved altar dating from around 1500. The furnishings also include an organ made in 1722 by Lübeck organ builder H. Hantelmann. Hantelmann was a student of A. Schnitger. The building design, altar, and organ each offer their own points of reference for a cultural and historical perspective on the church.

Churches and Manor Houses in the Municipality
Another church of note is in Weitendorf near Cammin, a place within the municipality but outside the settlement of Cammin. The church was first mentioned in an account book in 1503. Its floor area measures 16 by 8 meters; it is the smallest place of worship in the Rostock district. The building is made mostly of granite boulders. Bricks form the upper part of the west gable and sections of the masonry. Inside, the church has a wooden Baroque pulpit with a whale as its base.
Cammin Manor House also has its own building history: the associated estate leaseholder’s house was built at the end of the 19th century. The manor house building was renovated at the initiative of a support association. Since 2003, it has housed the Freie Grundschule “Storchenschule Cammin” (Free Primary School “Stork School Cammin”).
Wohrenstorf Manor House was built between 1732 and 1735. Its façade was renovated in 2014. Original stucco features have been preserved on all the ceilings; the foyer and most of the doors and their surrounds have also been preserved. The manor house is privately owned, and its grounds include remnants of a landscape garden. The period of construction, the later façade renovation, and the preserved interior details offer different points of reference for learning about the house.
Hiking and the Rübenbahn Tour
Extensive hikes along the Recknitz and the Stegendiecksbach are well worth considering in the municipality of Cammin. The Rübenbahn Tour South also passes through Cammin, where Stop 10 is located.
