History and church art
Mosegaarden in Værløse dates from the late 18th century. Værløse Church, also known as Lille Værløse Church, was consecrated on 7 November 1971. The church also contains a ceramic relief by Tue Poulsen, which was installed and inaugurated in 1992. It depicts a tree of life with birds and a cross; rays of light fall from top to bottom in a pattern towards the foot of the cross. The image can be viewed in two ways: as a nature motif featuring a tree of life and birds, and as a cross with rays converging on it. Værløse thus brings together different cultural periods, from Mosegaarden’s origins in the late 18th century to the relief from 1992.
Golf and practical information
Værløse Golf Club has a scenic 18-hole course. The club’s old farmhouse now houses the golf café and clubhouse facilities. Anyone can practise at the driving range for a fee; fees may change, so check the current amount before your visit. When planning, you can choose between a round on the course and practice at the driving range.
Galaksen also offers some concrete points of reference for finding your way around: it is centrally located in Værløse Bymidte, has good parking and is only a few minutes from Værløse Station. This information can help you determine the venue’s location in relation to parking and the station.
