There is a large car park for the Tarup-Davinde area at Ibjergvej 11E, 5792 Årslev. The area also contains the MTB trail in Ibjergskoven, which is approximately 3.3 km long. The Heart Trail extends for 4.5–6 km there. The different lengths give you a clear range for planning your day: a shorter MTB route is set against a longer trail option.

It is possible to swim in the Tarup-Davinde nature area. In addition, the Åløkkestedet Nature School provides information about nature and leaflets on the Tarup-Davinde area. A Landscape with Glacial Traces

Os Ibjerg was formed during the last Ice Age in a fissure at the bottom of a glacier. Its geological formation adds a significantly older dimension of time to the view of the Funen landscape and makes the shaping of the terrain itself a tangible part of experiencing the area.

Mobility around Årslev

Årslev has a super cycle path, a railway connection and a motorway connection to Odense. The train journey from Årslev to Odense railway station takes 15 minutes. This gives you a combination of cycling, rail and road connections that may play a role when choosing your daily travel radius.

Church and Maritime Details

Årslev Church is a well-preserved Gothic church with extensions from the Late Gothic period. It was built around 1425. Inside, there is also a three-masted topsail schooner model ship named “Lea”.

Polymeren and Møllehøj

Polymeren is a former polymer factory that was converted in Årslev/Sdr. Nærå into a flexible cultural and sports centre. Concerts are held at Polymeren; it also houses creative workshops. Its former industrial use thus remains part of its history, while culture and sport shape the building today.

At Møllehøj, its size and location in the landscape suggest that the person buried there was of great importance. The mound thus connects a historical interpretation directly with the landscape in which it is situated.
