History and Culture

The historic old town of Szczecinek largely survived the Second World War architecturally and was declared a national monument of Poland. Szczecinek – Castle, 14th century, is also located in the immediate surroundings of Szczecinek.

The Regional Museum in Szczecinek houses archaeological, regional, hunting-related and goldsmithing collections, including objects relating to the history of the city and Western Pomerania. Szczecinek is also listed as one of the places where Krówki, a Polish milk fudge, is produced.
