Sławno’s historic town center includes a Gothic church from the 14th century, a Neo-Baroque town hall from the beginning of the 20th century, fragments of the fortifications, and two gates from the 15th century. The Koszalińska and Słupska Gates are historic town gates; they guarded the medieval access roads to Sławno. The Koszalińska Gate is a historic gate in Sławno, a town that was granted historic town rights. It was first mentioned in 1453 and stands on Jedności-Narodowej Street near Basztowa Street.

Sławno is home to the Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was founded between 1326 and 1364 by Duchess Zofia, the wife of Barnim IV; during its construction, patronage was held by the Order of St. John. It was formerly dedicated to the Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist and is considered the largest building in the town. On March 7, 1945, the church was destroyed. The Franciscan Order took over its reconstruction, which lasted until the end of the 1950s; it is still in use today.

The Museum of the Sławno Region documents a former state administrative building on Gdańska Street in Sławno. In a historical photograph, it is identified as “Schlawe i. Pommern – Staatl Behördenhaus.”
