Golczewo is located in the southwestern part of the Gryfice Plain. It belongs to Kamień County in northwestern West Pomerania, which lies between the Baltic Sea, the Bay of Pomerania, the Szczecin Lagoon, and the Dziwna River.

Nature and Coast

Lisia Góra is located in the area surrounding Golczewo. Two larger bodies of water are located within the administrative boundaries of Golczewo: Lake Okonie and another named lake. Kamień County also includes forests, Wolin National Park, educational trails, and viewpoints.

In the wider regional surroundings of Golczewo are Pobierowo Beach, Dziwnów Beach, and Międzywodzie Beach.

Culture and History

The historic buildings in Golczewo include the Church of St. Andrew Bobola, a stone and brick structure with architectural elements from the 15th century; later work was carried out on it in 1803 and 1882. The listed heritage also includes a castle tower dating from the early 15th century. This tower formerly belonged to a castle complex that originated around the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries as a knight's residence.

Routes and Activities

The red Leśny Szlak Golczewski trail runs through Golczewo and is also open to hikers and Nordic walking enthusiasts. Kamień County offers water sports such as sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, diving, and fishing.
