Built in 1860 by Belgian merchant Arnoldt Lejune, the spa house is now the building of the Międzynarodowy Dom Kultury. Lejune laid out the spa park at the foot of the building. Aleja Gwiazd also has a specific history. In November 2005, the handprints were moved to the new Aleja Gwiazd under the supervision of Professor Adam Myjak. It is located at the recreation square on ul. Promenada Gwiazd in Międzyzdroje. Those interested in the town’s development will find here a dated chapter in its more recent cultural history.
A visitor tradition is associated with the pier: couples hang padlocks on the railing as a memento of their stay and a symbol of their love. The tradition adds personal meaning to a visit to the pier. Plac Gwiazd also has a relaxation area with comfortable loungers and benches.
