Dziwnówek is located at the foot of the Dziwnowska Spit between the Baltic Sea and Wrzosowska Bay, the northern part of the Kamień Lagoon. The town includes a wide, clean, sandy Baltic beach and nearby coastal forest.

The Kamień Lagoon is associated with fishing. A windsurfing and kitesurfing school also operates on the lagoon.

History and Maritime Culture

Historical references to Dziwnówek include its former name, Klein Divenow, and a first mention dating from 1503. Historical accounts identify Dziwnówek as one of the locations of the ceremony in March 1945 that symbolized Poland's regained access to the Baltic Sea.
