Łąka: Hotels and accommodations

Łąka is a small settlement with a medieval history, documented in writing as early as 1394. At that time, part of the village was sold to the monastery in Wolin. Łąka is also described as a settlement approximately 12 km from Stepnica, on the road between Stepnica and Wolin.

History and townscape

Historically, the settlement was described as being located directly on Skoszewska Bay; historical depictions also place it on the shore of the bay. The 19th-century village layout was altered following a fire in 1867. Along the main road, small-scale, loosely arranged masonry buildings are described.

The Mokrzyckie Góry are located in the vicinity of Łąka. The wider regional surroundings also include Plaża Międzyzdroje, Plaża Międzywodzie, Wolin, and Woliński Park Narodowy.

Cycling

In the wider regional context, the municipality of Stepnica includes a 35-kilometre section of the international Around the Szczecin Lagoon cycling route. The route passes through diverse lagoon landscapes as well as areas of natural and cultural heritage.
