Biala Piska: Hotels and Accommodation

Biała Piska is a town with origins in a settlement founded on the Gayle Stream in 1482. The surrounding area was settled by Polish settlers, especially Masovians. In 1722, the town was granted city rights; it is located in Poland, in the Warmian–Masurian Voivodeship and in Piski County.

Biała Piska developed due to its location on a trade route and became known for large cattle markets.

Remembrance

South of Biała Piska, on the road to Kumielsk and now within the town limits, there is a burial site for 61 Russian soldiers. A monument in Biała Piska commemorates the soldiers of the Podlasie Cavalry Brigade and Polish soldiers who fought from 1939 to 1945. The former town cemetery contains the graves of German and Russian soldiers as well as civilian victims, including the graves of a veteran and a German soldier who died on 4 September 1939.
