Culture and history
The settlement originated as a knightly estate; its history is documented in connection with a land purchase in 1398 and a renewed founding charter from 1477. Lubajny is also home to the Church of Our Lady of Fatima, built in 1995, as well as the Deanery Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, founded in 1996.
In the immediate vicinity of Lubajny, the castle “Ostróda – Zamek Krzyżacki XIVw.” is located in Ostróda.
