Gutkowo: Hotels and Accommodation

Gutkowo is located in the northwestern part of Olsztyn, on Lake Ukiel (Krzywe). The area also includes Lakes Redykajny and Tyrsko.

History and Culture

Gutkowo was founded as a Prussian settlement in 1352. Between 1375 and 1400, a filial church was built here, affiliated with the St James Parish in Olsztyn. In the area surrounding Gutkowo are Olsztyn – Castle dating from the 14th century and Janusz Kusociński Park. The Collegiate Basilica is located in the wider regional area.

Trails and Railway

The Olsztyn Gutkowo railway station is located in Gutkowo; the railway line runs towards Gdańsk and Dobre Miasto. A 15-kilometre hiking trail leads from Gietrzwałd via Szelągowo and Łupstych to Gutkowo. On the way to Gutkowo, the route follows a trail marked in black.
