Tuna here refers to an urban area near Tumba in Stockholm County. The documented information concerns a square, a church, paths and local history; it does not establish the presence of a beach or direct access to the Baltic Sea. When choosing accommodation, the specific location is therefore what matters, not merely its classification as part of the wider Stockholm region.

Tuna Square and paths

The area was developed in the 1960s near the cultural landscape of Tumba bruk. Tuna Square is described as a traffic-separated square with two low-rise central buildings. Historically, they housed restaurants and retail premises; this does not mean that these are currently available. Footpaths leading to the planning area run along Prästgårdsvägen and Tunavägen, as well as other routes that cyclists can also use. A small playground is documented. According to planning documents, the Tuna bus stop is about 100 metres to the west, and Tumba commuter train station is about one kilometre away. Current timetables and routes should be checked locally.

Church and paper-making history

Tumba Church was completed in the early 1970s and consists of a large church hall with two side wings. Local information mentions weekly services, lunchtime music and choral activities; current dates should be confirmed with the parish. The car park in front of the church has four electric vehicle charging stations, but their current availability cannot be inferred from the historical information. A bus stop is nearby. Tuna has a pasture with oaks, pines and aspens; a skatepark is listed in the nearby Sven Tumba Park. The Tumba Paper Mill Museum covers the production of paper and Swedish banknotes, as well as the area around the paper mill.

A planning document mentions the demolition of old buildings at Tuna Square and a preliminary start of construction in autumn 2026. For this reason, the former appearance of the square and the businesses that used to be there should not be taken as the current situation. The overview of locations in the wider Stockholm area is for regional navigation, not evidence that Tuna is on the coast.
