In Klippan, the Åslingan begins at Elfdalens Motionsanläggning, which is located next to the campsite in the eastern built-up area of Klippan. The Åslingan is 3.1 kilometres long; the section north of the Bäljane å is 3.6 kilometres long. A short branch is Sagostigen, with wooden sculptures for younger hikers.

Hiking and nature

Elfdalsslingan is a 3-kilometre-long, illuminated loop that partly follows the Bäljane å. With a little luck, grey wagtails, white-throated dippers and common sandpipers can be spotted there. Cösterslingan begins in the centre of Klippan at Läderbackarna and leads towards the allotment area on Kolonigatan.

Blomgrens promenad is a hiking trail that runs around the central areas of Klippan's built-up area and is approximately 2.5 kilometres long. A map of Blomgrens promenad showing the route and sights is available at the Klippan library or municipal hall. Paths and walking trails run close to the river beside the paper mill on the Rönne å.

Culture and history

St. Peter's Church stands in the centre of Klippan's town park. It was built between 1962 and 1966 according to a design by Sigurd Lewerentz. Its furnishings include a double tapestry created by Sven X:et Eriksson and woven by Barbro Nilsson, an ivory crucifix designed by Christian Berg, and the outdoor sculpture “Nådens skålar” created by Christian Berg.

Klippan Yllefabrik began in 1879 on Järnvägsgatan in Klippan as a small wool spinning mill. The factory has a factory shop offering the regular range and outlet products. Askahuset was built in 1864–1865 by Vice District Court Judge Fritz Ask. The public sculpture “Fredsfågel” by Antonio Pasquini dates from 2018 and stands at the intersection of Allégatan and Järnvägsgatan in Klippan.

The Blomgren photographic archive contains environmental, group and portrait photographs from 1897 to the beginning of the 1950s; the images can be searched in the libraries of Klippan Municipality. Klippan's railway area preserves a well-preserved station building, as well as an engine shed and a water tower from the steam locomotive era.

Klippan's paper mill is located south of Klippan's built-up area on the Rönne å. Paper production in Klippan and the area around the Rönne å has a long tradition. Folkets hus/Kulturcenter was completed in 1907; historically, the building and the adjacent park hosted celebrations, weddings, meetings, soirées, anniversaries, parades and theatre events.

A canoe trip on the Rönne å from Djupadalsmölla to Herrevadskloster is approximately 16 kilometres long and takes about five hours.
