Kalwaria Wejherowska and City History

Kalwaria Wejherowska was the fourth Calvary complex to be established during the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Its history can be traced back to a specific event in 1649: on June 9, Bishop Mikołaj Albert Gniewosz of Aleksandrów approved its construction. The chapels were built afterward. The Szlak Nut Kaszubskich is a tourist route through various parts of Wejherowo. Fifteen pedestals display fragments of a traditional counting rhyme, and the route passes the city's main attractions.
