The medieval heritage of Lubiszewo Tczewskie is connected with a Pomeranian princely stronghold that until 1253 intermittently served as the capital of one of the duchies during the period of fragmentation.

The first mention of the Church of the Holy Trinity dates back to 1198; its patronage was granted to the religious house of the Hospitallers in Starogard. The historical heritage also includes a Hospitaller house and later connections with the Teutonic Order.
