Słupsk is situated on the Słupia River in the Pomeranian Voivodeship and approximately 18 kilometres from the Baltic Sea. Ustka is the nearest coastal town.

Słupsk has a historic urban heritage that includes the town hall, the tower of the parish church of NMP Królowej Różańca Świętego, the Dominican Church of St. Jack, the Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes and the mill complex at the Mill Gate. Named historic landmarks also include the Castle Mill, Richter's Granary and the Gothic Mill Gate.
Two buildings, at ul. Partyzantów 31 and ul. Długa 23, were officially entered in the register of monuments. The building at ul. Długa 23 is a Neorenaissance tenement house built in 1904, with a rusticated ground floor and decorative pilasters with Ionic capitals.
Art and culture
The Biały Spichlerz presents a collection of works by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz. The Museum of Central Pomerania's cultural activities related to Słupsk include the Pomeranian Collection, an exhibition of Edward Dwurnik and the adaptation of this building for cultural, social, educational and tourist purposes.
