Cycling routes and landscape views

The Złote Piaski cycling trail is about 25 km long and passes through Łokciowe. Most of it runs along unpaved roads and paths surfaced with Jumbo slabs. It is also easy enough for beginners to complete without difficulty. To assess this route, consider its approximate length, surface, and level of difficulty. The Rowerowy Szlak Słowińców cycling route also passes through Łokciowe, adding a second named route to the cycling options.

Złote Piaski follows the Łupawa-Łebsko Canal in the direction of Łokciowe. At Przybynin, a viewpoint along this cycling route overlooks the shifting dunes. The route and the viewpoint offer different points of reference: the canal indicates the direction towards the village, while the view from the viewpoint is of the shifting dunes. If you are choosing a cycling trip based on scenic attractions, you can take both aspects into account.

Złote Piaski also leads to Lake Jezioro Dołgie Duże, which can be viewed from a jetty. Together with the viewpoint near Przybynin, this cycling route offers two clearly distinct natural views: the shifting dunes and the lake from the jetty. If you would rather include a body of water than dunes in your excursion plans, the lake offers a different point of reference from the viewpoint.

Hiking and nature around Łokciowe

A yellow hiking trail passes through Łokciowe, adding a hiking option to the cycling routes. The trail to Klucki Las starts at the forester’s lodge in Kluki and ends at a symbolic entrance gate to Klucki Las on the side closest to Łokciowe. It passes through areas under strict and active nature protection in the Kluki Protection District. Both the starting point in Kluki and the endpoint at Klucki Las are useful for orientation. The focus on nature protection differs from the views of the dunes and lake along the Złote Piaski cycling route.

When choosing where to stay, you can weigh up the routes according to your travel interests: Złote Piaski combines an approximate length and information about the surface with views of the shifting dunes and Lake Jezioro Dołgie Duże. For hiking, there is the yellow trail through Łokciowe and the trail to Klucki Las, which passes through protected areas in the Kluki Protection District. This makes it possible to assess Łokciowe based on specific trails and natural attractions without treating the different routes as if they were the same.
