Chałupy is a coastal resort located at the foot of the Hel Peninsula, between the Baltic Sea and Puck Bay. The townscape includes a beach considered clean, wide, and quiet. History and Maritime Culture
Chałupy has its roots in a fishing settlement formerly known as Budziszewo and Ceynowa; in 1920, the name Chałupy became official. This heritage is reflected in the long-running Kaszubskie Łodzie pod Żaglami festival. It features traditional boat races and old fishing boats and offers an opportunity to taste Kashubian cuisine specialties.
A railway line through Chałupy was established in 1922. It connected Hel with Władysławowo and included a station in Chałupy.
