Kwidzyn is a city on the Liwa River in the Powiśle region, east of the Vistula. Kwidzyn is home to Kwidzyn Castle, a large brick Gothic castle that is part of the city’s cathedral and castle complex.
Culture and History
The castle was built in 1233, rebuilt between 1855 and 1875, and designated a Historic Monument of Poland in 2018. It is known as Zamek w Kwidzynie. Historical views of Kwidzyn document the city together with its castle.
