When looking for a hotel in Svärtinge, you can plan your stay around the activities you have in mind: swimming, getting active on trails, and concerts each offer a different focus. Skarsätterbadet appeals to swimmers; running and hiking routes, as well as a cycling route, give active days more options. The differences between the beach, running route, seasonal activities, and concert programme can help you decide what to focus on during your trip.

Swimming, Running and Walking

Skarsätterbadet is a family-friendly swimming lake with a gently sloping sandy beach. Families planning a day of swimming can consider its family-friendly character and gently sloping beach as specific factors in their choice. If you would rather go running, Svärtinge’s floodlit trail offers a different focus: it is 2 km long, runs on a prepared surface, and is relatively easy to run. For the running route, length, surface, and level of difficulty are the main considerations; for swimmers, the beach shapes the plan.

Hiking trails and paths in Svärtinge include Lovisebergsravinen. Skarsätter is a central green space and serves as a town park; walking and exercise paths lead from the area towards Svärtinge udde and Tingsbröten. Skarsätter thus combines its role as a park with paths leading towards two specific destinations.

The Svärtingeuddeleden can be reached by taking bus route 410 to the Skarsätter stop. From there, the route passes Svärtinge kyrka and follows a gravel path towards Svärtinge udde and Bonäsudden. The church was inaugurated on 18 September 1994. If you would like to combine the bus journey with this route, check public transport information before setting off.

The Bergkulla trailhead is located north of Svärtinge, nearby. From there, you can take shorter or longer circular walks through varied terrain. Bergkulla therefore gives you a choice of loops of different lengths when planning a hike.

Seasons, Nature and Culture

The Bergkulla MTB trail runs through the two nature reserves of Trangölen and Orrkojgölarna. For cycling enthusiasts, this offers a route with a clear connection to these two named nature reserves.

The season also matters at Svärtinge’s floodlit trail: in winter, Svärtinge SK lays ski trails there when there is enough snow. Snow conditions are key when planning a winter’s day. The 2 km floodlit trail can thus be enjoyed for two different activities: relatively easy running and, when there is enough snow, cross-country skiing.

Skrikhult farm is located in upper Svärtinge and hosts concerts in a unique, intimate setting. Alongside trails and nature, the concert programme adds a cultural dimension. If you are planning to attend a concert during your trip, check the event dates in advance.

Jusjön is one of several forest lakes north of Svärtinge where rainbow trout and brown trout have been introduced. If you plan to combine a visit with fishing, check the applicable rules and permits beforehand.
